My name is Md. Abdullah Al-Faruque and I am the Team Leader of the Picture Library unit. I completed a B.Com (Hons) as well as an M.Com degree in Marketing from Dhaka University and also completed post-graduate diplomas in computer science, personnel management and library & information science. I also did a basic photography course through the Bangladesh Photographic Institute. My acquaintance with Drik dates back to 1990. I like the working environment here. In my leisure time I love listening to music.
M N I Chowdhury is a documentary photographer based in Bangladesh. Born in 1982, he completed his Bachelor in Commerce (HON) from National University of Dhaka Collage, Dhaka in 2003. In 2005, he graduated from Pathshala, South Asian Institute of Photography with a degree in Photography. His special interest lies in night photography, graffiti and pictorial images that are feature-based.
His photo stories include ‘Night at Dhaka Railway Station’, ‘St. Martine’, ‘Istema’, ‘Wall Painting’, ‘New Afghanistan’ and ‘Stone Gathering’, just to name just a few. His photographs have been exhibited in Thailand, Nepal and Bangladesh and published in various newspapers, calendars, and photo books. He was an exchange participant in the FredKorpset exchange programme to Afghanistan 2005-2006.
My full name is Md. Moinul Hassan. Friends call me Tapu. I completed BA (Hons), MA in English Literature form The University of Chittagong in 1999 and I worked in different Multinational Organizations after graduation. I joined Drik as a Text Editor for the Photo Library department. My captions can be read at MajorityWorld.com It's an excellent work environment. My hobbies are reading, music and photography.
I was born on 30th September 1985. I joined the “Out of Focus” group in October 1994. I have worked as a reporter at ETV Bangladesh in 2000-2001 and am now working at Drik Picture Library as a Library Executive. I do not want to limit myself to what everyone else does – I want to explore. I want to study more and become a well known photographer one day. I enjoy reading books, taking pictures, watching television and looking at other photographers' work.
I am Md. Zoherul Sheykh Falan, and you can call me Falan. I was born on 5th May 1982. I started working with “Out of Focus” from the very beginning in 1994. I want to be a professional photographer in the future. Now I am working at Drik and for www.majorityworld.com as an Image Developer. My hobbies are music, writing, acting and painting.
I am Doli Akter. I have completed an Advanced Diploma in Photojournalism from Pathshala and I am also studying in a university for a Bachelors in Arts. I work at majorityworld.com as an Image Developer. Drik is very helpful for my career in photography as I get ample opportunities to work with different kinds of images everyday. I want to make photo documentaries on the disabled, and to show people that they are self-sufficient too. I like adda, TV and radio.
